The Book Of The Covenant YHN

DID YOU KNOW that the Torah is also called the Book of the Covenant?

“And Moses took half of the blood, and he put it in basins, and half the blood he sprinkled on the altar. Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read in the hearing of the people. And they said, ‘All that YHVH has said we will do, and be obedient.’ And Moses took the blood and sprinkled on the people, and said, ‘This is the blood of the Covenant which YHVH has cut with you according to all these words.’” [Exodus 24:6-8]

Did you notice that the people promised to be obedient to the Torah before the blood of the Covenant was sprinkled on them?

“And YHVH said to Moses, ‘Write these words for yourself, for on the mouth of these words I will cut a covenant with you and with Israel. And he was there with YHVH forty days and forty nights; he did not eat bread and he did not drink water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.’” [Exodus 34:27-28]

Had you realized before that the Ten Commandments are the heart of the Book of the Covenant?

“This (is) the covenant which I will covenant to them after those days, says YHVH: Giving My Laws on their hearts, and I will write them on their minds; also I will not at all still remember their sins and their lawlessness.” [Hebrews 10:16-17, from Jeremiah 31:31-34]

NOTE: According to Jeremiah 31:31, the house of Israel and the house of Judah are the ones with whom YHVH said He would cut a new covenant. Search the Scriptures and you will find that He has never cut a covenant with any nation other than the nation of Israel.

“Now the Elohim of Shalom (Peace), He leading up out of (the) dead, the great Shepherd of the sheep, in (the) blood of (the) everlasting covenant, our Adoni Y’hoshua, perfect you in every good work, in order to do His will, doing in you that (which) is pleasing in His sight, through Y’hoshua the Messiah, to whom (be) the honor forever and ever. Amen(aw-mane’) .” [Hebrews 13:20-21]

Read these two verses very carefully. The description of the Elohim of Shalom is the Father; and it is He who brings the Messiah, the great Shepherd, up from the dead. It is in Y’hoshua’s blood that the everlasting covenant is sealed. By the Father we will be able to complete thoroughly every good work, in order to do His (the Father’s) will, and doing what is pleasing in His (the Father’s) sight, through Y’hoshua the Messiah.

And what did Y’hoshua say? “I do not seek My will, but the will of the (One) sending Me, (the) Father.” [John 5:30b]

TO IMITATE Y’HOSHUA THE MESSIAH
IS TO FOLLOW THE TORAH,
THE WILL OF THE FATHER.
