Who Is This Man Shaul (Paul)? YHN

DID YOU KNOW that Shaul (Paul) kept the Torah?

“. . . as also our beloved brother Paul wrote to you, according to the wisdom given to him; as also in all his epistles, speaking in them concerning these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the unlearned and unsettled pervert, as also they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. Then beloved, you knowing beforehand, watch lest being led away by the error of the lawless* you fall from your own steadfastness.” [2 Peter 3:15b-17]

* The ones who transgress the Torah (the Law).

If Paul wrote according to the wisdom given to him, and then broke the Torah, that would mean one of two things: 1) Either YHVH contradicted Himself and gave something to Paul that went against His Word; or 2) If Paul wrote one thing but then did another, he was a hypocrite. The first would make YHVH a liar, and the second would put Paul in the company of the lawless ones who are destined for destruction.

Are there Scriptures attesting to Paul’s fidelity to the Torah?

“But the brothers at once sent both Paul and Silas to Berea during the night; who having arrived went into the synagogue of the Jews. And these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, for they received the Word with all readiness, daily examining the Scriptures if these things are so. Then indeed many from among them believed, and not a few of the honorable Greek women and men.” [Acts 17:10-12]

The only Scriptures they had were the Torah, the Writings and the Prophets. If the Jews examined the Scriptures to check out what Paul was teaching, would they have become believers if Paul were teaching a doctrine that contradicted the Word?

Then do this, what we say to you: There are four men who have a vow on themselves; taking these, be purified with them, and be at expense on them, that they may shave the head. And all shall know that all what they have been told about you is nothing, but you yourself walk orderly, keeping the Torah (the Law).” [Acts 21:23-24]

But I confess this to you that according to the Way, which they say (is) a sect, so I worship the ancestral Elohim believing all things according to that having been written in the Torah and the Prophets.” [Acts 24:14] Defending himself, (Paul) said, “Neither against the Torah of the Jews, nor against the temple, nor against Caesar have I sinned in anything.” [Acts 25:8] “. . .I have done nothing against our people or the customs of our fathers.” [Acts 28:17b]
