DID YOU KNOW that sin is transgression of the Torah?
Literal Translation: 1 John 3:4, “Everyone practicing sin also practices lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.”
King James Translation: 1 John 3:4, “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law; for sin is the transgression of the law.”
Lawlessness = Transgression of the Law (the Torah)
Mark 15:27-28, “And they crucified two plunderers with Him, one off (the) right, and one off (the) left of Him. And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, ‘And He was counted with (the) lawless.’ “ (Isaiah 53:12)
Isaiah 53:12b, “. . .because He poured out His soul to death; and (He) was numbered with those transgressing; and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for those transgressing.”
If man had not been disobedient to the Torah, there would have been no need for either animal sacrifices or Y’hoshua’s atoning sacrifice. For where there is no sin, there is no need for a blood sacrifice.
Psalm 40:6-8, “Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; You have opened ears to Me. You have not asked burnt offering and sin offering. Then I said, ‘Lo, I come, in the roll of the Book it is written of Me; I delight to do Your will, O Elohay (My El); and Your Law is within My inmost soul.’”
And, if we are no longer required to keep the Torah, as come contend, why did the Messiah say, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’” [Matthew 7:21-23]
Revelation 19:15, “And out of His mouth goes forth a sharp sword, that with it He might smite the nations. And He will shepherd them with an iron rod. And He treads the winepress of the wine of the anger and of the wrath of El Shaddai.”
What is he enforcing with a rod of iron? And if He no longer requires us to keep the Torah, then there can be no sin, so why is He so angry?
“If anyone has an ear, let him hear.” [Revelation 13:9]
